No good for repairing hard drive`s I was looking for a utility to repair bad sectors on my hard drive but this does not give me the option to do this only for floppy disc's.

I need more information. The information to user, is poor, and the use of this software is easy, and the options very good. But the information to me about what sector is failed and if the track 0 was repaired is bad, and finally I don't know if was repaired track 0 and I want know about track 0 maybe it's status.

Something worng I was looking for a diagnostic and recovery tool for CF Microdrives and USB sticks. After downloading that ISO file I burnet it to CD. Then I started this program under WinXP and I noticed something DOS like. That's all - no further operation!Sorry

Kill your hard drive. Sorry to say, but this happend to me my hard drive was working a bit with some bad sectors but after using unistal software this is totally dead now.

Doesn`t work with ntfs. This program doesn't work with ntfs, so I could not test it.

Nice product and provides a lot of detailed information. I really like the UI also. I did have a comment. When I ran a Self Test on a samsung 160GB SATA drive it ran okay but the HD was unusable after it completed. The OS completely lost it. I had to do a power off/on to get it back. Buggy software Program has a poor user interface and is also very buggy.Trying to select a hard drive to scan for bad sectors only results in selecting ONE, and it is impossible to change to another one.It is impossible to perform a scan on several drives at once.Selecting another hard drive while scan is in progress will result in the hard drives jumping around in the list; unable to select another one.This is hardly what I would call a good program.

Disk Checker in Vista Using large fonts for the desktop, the interface is a bit scrambled, but was still usable. (buttons and dialogs in not quite the right place, or partially obscured.Despite that, it worked to reassure that a potentially defective CD from an academic text was in fact fine: problem was the laptop that couldn't read it properly.Needs some work to fix its use in other than standard font size ... I assume that's the issue, but didn't try it out as I was able to make it work ok.

very useful tool Unexperienced laptop user. Managed to finally repair my ill-behaving WD 750 GB disk. Wasn't straightforward, probably (at least partly) due to my missing experience. Needed several attempts, program got stuck several times without clear idea where and why, i.e. without clear error/status info (even 'close window' sometimes didn't work). Finally all fine. --
